ABOUT
Welcome to the Dynamics and Digital Manufacturing Lab at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Victoria (UVic).

Our research bridges the fields of dynamic systems and advanced manufacturing, particularly focusing on optimizing the dynamics of machine tools and machining processes to enhance precision, productivity, and sustainability.

Our mission is to tackle the critical challenges of sustainable manufacturing through innovative computational and experimental approaches in system dynamics. We are committed to developing practical, scalable solutions that are accessible to a diverse range of manufacturers, from local small enterprises to global industry leaders.

Our training program offers a comprehensive education by combining formal theoretical training with hands-on projects and collaborative research opportunities. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment. We stand in solidarity with women, LGBTQ+ community, and other underrepresented groups in engineering, and strive to ensure that every person, both within our team and beyond, feels supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Join us as we explore the future of manufacturing and work toward a more sustainable and inclusive industry.
