Keivan Ahmadi (he/him), Ph. D., P. Eng.

Dr. Keivan Ahmadi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria (UVic). He earned his PhD from the University of Waterloo in 2012, followed by a postdoctoral position at the University of British Columbia's Manufacturing Automation Lab. In 2014, Dr. Ahmadi joined Pratt and Whitney Canada's Manufacturing Technology Development team as an industrial postdoctoral researcher. He joined UVic in 2015. His research interests lie in dynamics and vibrations, with a focus on machine tool vibrations and chatter.

Mohammadmahdi Mehrabi (he/him)

Mohammadmahdi (Meysam) joined DDM in 2022 as a PhD student. He has a Master's degree from the Sharif University of Technology, and a Bachelour's degree from Iran University of Science and Technology. Meysam studies probability-based modelling of dynamical systems, aiming to improve the dynamic performance of machine tool feed drive dynamics under changing conditions

Faramarz Talaei (he/him)

Faramarz joined DDM in 2024 as M.A.Sc. student. He completed his Bachelours at Iran University of Science and Technology. He subsequently worked in diverse engineering roles in the industry. Faramarz's master's project is a collaboration with Canadian Electric Vehicle (CanEV), aiming to design an optimal steering and suspension system of a new medium duty electric truck.

    Ali Ebrahimitirtashi (he/him)

    Ali joined DDM as a PhD student in 2022. He obtained his Master's and undergraduate degrees from the University of Tehran. Ali's research focuses on the data-driven modelling of machining vibrations.

    Hasti joined DDM in 2024 as a masters' student. She earned her Bachelours from the University of Tehran.
